A History of Political Instability in Bolivia
On June 26th, 2024, Bolivian President Luis Arce reported irregular deployment of troops within the country, sparking fears of a potential coup attempt. This followed a period of civil unrest in Bolivia in 2019, which culminated in the ouster of President Evo Morales.
